Each 40–50 cm stem carries a single cupped rosette of roughly 130 petals that arrives near 2 inches across and opens to about 5.3 inches over 3–4 days in water, unfurling from cream buds to a heart of buttery yellow and dusty apricot, with a medium fruity scent and a vase life of 7 to 10 days. Effie is one of the largest heads in the David Austin range.
